Objetivo:
|
Parents
are invited to enrol their children in multi-activities sport centres. The
practice of sport activities in itself is not sufficient to make our children
grow. But it is one of the most powerful tool to achieve this goal. Santo
Domingo resident members are proposed to join the "Juan Pablo
Duarte" Olympic centre, where they can practice basket-ball, base-ball,
swimming, athletics, tennis, karate, judo, body building, chess, etc.
The
practice of Fine Arts is developing the basic conditions to become an adult.
Parents should manage their children to attend such multi-disciplinary
centres in their living area. (Not mandatory). Amimundo is driving Santo
Domingo members toward different cultural centres sponsored by the Dominican
Secretary of culture.
With
member parents or other adult relatives. Parents must always beware their
children company. They will be able to notice, during the course of the
program, their increasing capacity to enjoy community life in a free and
independent way. This activity will reinforce the familial links. The
Foundation will invite Santo Domingo members to attend such activities
together with their parents.
This
is one of the most efficient method we are using to improve our children and teen-agers
self-esteem. It is definitely part of the objectives aimed by the
rehabilitation program. We find Art craft schools for our children. Through
these techniques, they will learn how to transform some of the material
around them ... and how to be useful!!!. How much they will grow up if we can
enable them doing this . They will not necessarily become art craft
professionals ultimately. But they have to learn how to do useful thin

trainings will prepare them for life. Technical trainings are developing one
of the basic conditions to become an adult "The ability to interact with
our surrounding world". We are doing a lot of efforts to give our teens
a good chance, in a near future, to play their part in the society. This activity
is helping them a great deal to become adults. Santo Domingo members are sent
to the "Instituto Santo Domingo", (ISD), Ensanche Ozama, an
Amimundo affiliate organism, and to the "Instituto De Formación
Técnica" (INFOTEP)
(Only for Dominican Republic) Using
the "Bolsa De Empleos" managed by the Dominican employment state
Secretary.
We
offer this service thru the "Instituto De Servicios Psicosociales Y
Educativos" (ISPE), in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Parents of our
international members will ensure a correct follow up of their children by
professionals of their own country.
They
may be provided thru regular mail or via Internet. Parents must ensure that
their children are actually performing the exercises and activities included

Six-monthly
cost is US$50.00. For
Dominican residents, the six-monthly cost is RD$300.00. Every
two months, we will send new exercises and proposals of activities (6
mailings per year). If they are using the Internet facilities, our members and
their parents will receive the same package plus the possibility of personal
queries and much more, thru a specific web page dedicated to each member.
